Hair Genesis is a hair regrowth 3-step system designed to reverse hair loss and keep it from continuing. The system is comprised of an oral supplement, revitalizing shampoo and revitalizing serum. The makers of Hair Genesis claim that their product is backed by years of scientific research and validation by the scientific and medical community, and they use a lot of scientific jargon to make this point in their promotional materials.

How Hair Genesis Works

According to the company, this product was created based on scientific research into androgenic alopecia, also known as pattern baldness (Male Pattern Baldness or MPB in men and Female Pattern Baldness or FPB in women). Androgenic alopecia is a hormonal problem, and occurs when hormones attack the hair follicles which produce hair cells.

When this occurs, the follicles begin to shrink and go into a dormant stage. Some dormancy is normal; every person has hundreds or thousands of dormant hair follicles at any given time. However, this dormant period lasts only weeks or months in a healthy scalp. Additionally, the proportion of dormant follicles to active ones is quite small and scattered, so bald spots typically do not result.

With Androgenic alopecia, or pattern baldness, these follicles go into an extended dormancy. Hair Genesis works by counter-acting the effects of those hormones in the body that cause follicles to revert to dormancy. It re-awakens them, causing them to become productive again. It also keeps the follicles that aren’t dormant from going into a permanent stage of dormancy.

Does Hair Genesis Really Work?

Based on anecdotal reports, some users of Hair Genesis have been able to reverse hair loss and regrow hair. However, it seems that of all of the hair regrowth systems on the market, this one does not rank as well with users, especially in comparison to some of the other popular hair restoration systems.
